Wishes?
Just when you think you have something figured out, life decides to prove you wrong. Sigh.
Yeah...I don't know what I'm doing after graduation. I really don't. I know I'm going back to my parents house for a while and I'll probably try to find some work up there, something until I figure out what to do next basically. This would be so much easier if I knew exactly what I wanted to do but of course that is not the case; however, I have discovered that there are a few things that I would really like to have in my life eventually:
1) I want to have a pet of some sort. I either want a boy cat or a small-medium dog, preferably a mutt. I like dogs but big dogs make me nervous so I'd like one that's big enough to not be a yappy, purse dog but small enough that if I havta go somewhere, I can just pick it up and take it with me. Like a pug. I love pugs. I saw a chihuahua/pug mix some time ago, most adorable thing ever. I called it the Chug. I wanna a Chug! :D
2) Life in a small city/big town (that's not Searcy...) - I like all the opportunities and sights that city life offers, but I don't think I'd like to live in a huge city like New York or Manhattan (though I'd love to visit those places). That and while I'm not a huge outdoorsy person, I do like nature a lot (walking through the woods, going to the ocean, etc.) and it'd be nice to live in a place where I could either be close to or be able to go to "nature" easily. Or at least somewhere with a nice park lol.
3) An interesting job. With the way things are going in the economy, this may be too much to ask for right now but even so, I'd like a job that I enjoy and not just something I do to get money. When I really think about it, there are certain jobs that I'm not sure if I'd be good at them but I still think they'd be fun (albeit stressful but hey what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger). Here's a few examples:
1. A florist - I love flowers. I love getting flowers, I love giving flowers, I freakin' LOVE flowers. I think this would be a very fun job to have despite the fact that I would probably be emotionally/mentally scarred for life due to Valentine's Day and weddings. It would definitely take a lot of training and patience but I think I'd be pretty good at it once my skillz were honed :p
2. Working in a tattoo/piercing place - ok frankly this is more of a daydream to make me laugh more than anything else. I like getting my ears pierced cuz...well I don't really know why but I enjoy it because I'm weird like that. I don't have a tattoo, but I think tattoos are very interesting and sometimes even beautiful. Now piercing/tattooing other people for living? Yeeeeeah probably not. Still it makes me laugh so I put it up here anyway, haha.
3. Working at a zoo/aquarium - holy crap, this job would totally suck and yet rock out loud so much! It would suck because you havta clean up after the animals and deal with stupid people doing stupid things to the animals (or just being stupid and littering). But on the other hand, it would be totally awesome because I love animals and I love aquariums and zoos and the fact that I would be working with stiny, messy animals would totally make up for it lol. Gotta take the good with the bad ya know? Going to the zoo and/or the aquarium is like my favorite thing to do ever. Besides shopping for accessories/books/movies/videogames/etc...I'm not a nerd I promise. cough.
4. Working in a music store - I don't play any instruments but I still think it'd be really fun/awesome to work in a music store just because I love music (namely rock music). So yeah...I could be that one person that works in the store and spends the majority of the time arguing with the customers about stuff like which band is better at guitar solos/lyrics/song covers/etc and be really snooty about it while drinking a mocha frappacino or something like that. Oh yeah. that would be all kinds of sweet action.
And last but not least...actually yeah I guess it kinda is when I really think about it:
4) A dude. My soulmate, the other half to my orange, the Adam to my Eve, whatever you wanna call him - I'm talking about THAT guy. Not a huge demand (ok sometimes it is) but it would be nice if I could meet someone who's not a complete a-hole, desperate, creepy, boring, and/or just wants to "get some" (I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to my mother - who I know will read this eventually - for my somewhat vulgar allusion to sexual actions). Just for clarification, I do not believe in "Mr. Right" but I do believe that there is someone (or maybe even a couple to choose from, who knows) out there, probably wandering around wondering when the heck I'm either going to notice them or show up in their lives lol. I'm probably going to finally get the wake up call and then find out that the guy was RIGHT THERE the whole time. I'm smart but I can very oblivious when it comes to people trying to get my attention or whatnot ;p.
So yeah...don't know what I'm going to do, but hey at least I know a few smallish things I'd like to have. Will I actually get them? Maybe. Just the fact that I'm finally able to at least think about what I want and actually come up with something is phenomenal. I haven't been able to do that in a looooooooong time which is really sad. But that's ok, I think I'm finally starting to recover :3

P.S. - Apparently my brain died which caused me to have a blond moment which then caused me to forget momentarily that Manhattan is a part of New York City. Sorry. Sorry everyone. It's been one of those semesters. Also thank you Nathan for point out such a heinous error.

"New York and Manhattan", Anna do you know where Manhattan is? I'm looking forward to seeing you graduate in 6 days plus change. And I hope some day you get to come and visit me and find out where Manhattan is.
